Ask Dr. Sanda

Ask Dr. Sanda

  • Responsible for Design and Development
  • Personal achievement Dr. Sanda is an award-winning nutritionist (and wears many other hats!). She's very successful and can bring a lot to the table through her speaking engagements and upcoming book. This design says that she's here and she's not going anywhere! It's bold and has a lot of personality. The elements of credibility throughout her site mark her as the expert in her field.

  • Responsible for Brand Identity and Web Development
  • Personal achievement While I'm not a brand identity/logo designer by trade, I am quite proud of how everything came out! The colors, the graphics, everything was designed to excite and engage you, just as how their videos excite and engage you. Also, this was quite a challenging design to code and make responsive!
SolarTrak

SolarTrak

  • Responsible for Design and Development
  • Personal achievement I had originally designed their first version of this site. After receiving a lot of feedback and learning more about their visitors, the clients decided they wanted a redesign to target their software in a different way. This way clearly explains how the software works, what it all does, and hits more credibility points, giving their customer base the trust they need going forward.
Carder Stout, Depth Psychotherapist

Carder Stout, Depth Psychotherapist

  • Responsible for Design and Development
  • Personal achievement Getting this designed and developed in less than a week! I love how warm and inviting this is, as to give the user, who is probably facing personal challenges, that feeling of connecting with Carder and wanting to reach out to him.
Tribeca Advanced Dentistry

Tribeca Advanced Dentistry

  • Responsible for Design and Development
  • Personal achievement Just like with Coast2CoastSmiles, the clients wanted to carry over the SEO work they did prior and not disturb their rankings in the search results. To do this, you have to carefully look over every line of code to make sure all of your tags are in properly. It's almost like doing surgery! They also wanted the site to load faster. With a custom theme, I was able to eliminate all the extra "stuff" most plugins and themes add in. The other challenge was working with the large navigation area. Here, the navigation on the left makes sense and responds beautifully in other devices, such as tablets and phones.

  • Responsible for Design and Development
  • Personal achievement This is a one-page site, intended to showcase Cathy's research abilities through the various books she did research for. It's also to give a hint of what's yet to come for her full website. Since Cathy has been in the industry for quite awhile, back when newspapers and magazines were a hit in journalism, I wanted to make the site feel classic, yet modern, as she brings her abilities into the modern age. Stay tuned for her full website!
David Lipper

David Lipper

  • Responsible for Design and Development
  • Personal achievement Approaching this was a little different as I'm trying to sell David, not a business. Putting his credibility and expertise front and center was the focus. Instead of thinking like a customer, I had to think like a casting director. What will they want to see? What is important to them? From there, I gave David a fresh, modern design that is user friendly and easily adaptable to any new projects he will be involved in.
Portland Holistic Dentistry

Portland Holistic Dentistry

  • Responsible for Design and Development
  • Personal achievement The average person does not search for holistic dentistry, so I had to do some keyword research to find out what people were searching, to make sure people would find her business. This site came out beautiful, easy to use, and easy for Sandra to update herself!
Coast 2 Coast Smiles

Coast 2 Coast Smiles

  • Responsible for Design and Development
  • Personal achievement Making every page engaging without disturbing the SEO work they had done prior. Their content is really good, but it was in large paragraphs. Users tend to avoid reading large paragraphs as their cognitive load isn't that large. Breaking up the text into bite-sized chunks helps people find what they're looking for. I also tailored their new site for mobile devices since this will be a candidate for SEO in the near future.

Truth Memorial Baptist Church

  • Responsible for Design and Development
  • Personal achievement Helping out the church and giving them a website that will help encourage visitors to visit and make it easy to update for the people running the church.
Paul Evans Build

Paul Evans Build

  • Responsible for Design and Development
  • Personal achievement The hardest part was getting all the pieces to layer on top of each other, responsively. Otherwise, I ensured that the site was professional, shows Paul's credibility, and easy to navigate.

Solar Technology

Solar Technology

  • In collaboration with Cindy Miller

  • Personal achievement They had worked with a previous company and liked the design, but didn't like how hard it was to manage, plus it wasn't responsive. I recoded it and made it 10x easier for them to update, tweaked some of the usability, and made it responsive!

About Me

Stephanie Bertha

Why hello!

I'm Stephanie Bertha, a designer and developer residing in Lehigh Valley, PA. I've been building websites for the past 13 years, making my way from the early days of building websites in Geocities (eek!) to building custom and powerful websites that drive sales.

Currently

Currently, I am working as a freelancer part-time and an entrepreneur the rest of the time. I really do love both aspects: being apart of a team and managing my own business. It's the perfect challenge!

Looking Ahead

I hope to continue developing, but you never know what will be around the corner. If you have a project that you would like to collaborate on, let's chat or talk via phone 610-737-5856 or Skype (@StephBertha). Looking forward to hearing from you!
